Specific Need

The Coronado Area Council, Scouting America, is seeking support to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to experience Scouting, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

Funds raised through Heartland Give Fest will help support youth across our communities by providing assistance with membership fees, uniforms, program supplies, outdoor experiences, leadership development, and other costs associated with delivering a quality Scouting program.

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help remove financial barriers, strengthen local Scouting programs, and provide more youth with opportunities to develop leadership skills, confidence, resilience, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Mission

The mission of Scouting America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

The Coronado Area Council carries out this mission by providing youth with opportunities for leadership, outdoor adventure, personal growth, community service, and lifelong learning through Scouting programs across north-central and northwest Kansas.

Profile

The Coronado Area Council, Scouting America, serves youth and families throughout north-central and northwest Kansas through programs designed to build character, develop leadership, encourage service, and provide meaningful outdoor experiences.

Scouting gives young people opportunities to do things they may not experience anywhere else—from camping, hiking, and outdoor adventure to STEM activities, community service, leadership development, and learning practical life skills.

Local Scouts are supported by dedicated volunteers, community organizations, businesses, and donors who believe in investing in the next generation. Contributions to the Coronado Area Council help make these experiences possible and help ensure that financial circumstances do not prevent a young person from participating.
