Goal: $10,000.00
Specific Need
Help Stockton Thrive! This Give Fest, your gift to the Stockton Community Fund helps grow a permanent resource that supports the people and projects that make Stockton special. Every $10,000 added to the fund generates roughly $500 in grants each year — funding youth programs, park improvements, community events, and more. Our goal is to raise $10,000–$15,000 to expand annual grantmaking and make an even bigger impact in 2026 and beyond. Give today and help Stockton continue to flourish for generations to come!
Mission
The Stockton Community Fund exists to strengthen and celebrate the Stockton community by supporting projects that make a meaningful difference in the lives of its residents. Guided by a committee of local residents, the fund invests in initiatives that enhance quality of life, foster community connection, and create lasting opportunities for growth and vitality in Stockton.Profile
Founded in 2014, the Stockton Community Fund is a dedicated field-of-interest fund held at the Heartland Community Foundation, focused exclusively on supporting projects that benefit the Stockton community. Guided by a committee of local residents, the fund ensures that decisions about grants reflect the needs and priorities of Stockton itself, fostering meaningful community impact.
Over the past 10 years, the fund has awarded more than $20,000 in grants to support a wide variety of initiatives — from educational programs and park improvements to community events, historic preservation, and youth enrichment. Notable grants include:
-
Education & Youth Programs – USD 271 Tiger Enterprises entrepreneurship classes, iPads and Apple TV for classrooms, Fusion Christian Youth Center activities, and youth programming at the Stockton Public Library.
-
Parks & Recreation – Stockton Recreation Commission summer baseball field upgrades, City Park and ballpark infrastructure improvements, and community entertainment at the Rooks County Free Fair.
-
Community Facilities & Infrastructure – City of Stockton park projects, resident beds and mattresses for local facilities, safety upgrades for volunteer firefighters, and building improvements for local organizations.
-
Cultural & Historic Projects – RoCo Arts Council barn quilt wall, Western Kansas Reading Room at the Rooks County Historical Society, and Main Street Restoration awareness campaigns.
-
Community Events & Fellowship – Picnic in the Park, Red Fest, and support for local faith-based and civic organizations.
The Stockton Community Fund exemplifies the power of local philanthropy: every gift stays in Stockton, supporting initiatives that strengthen the community, enhance quality of life, and create opportunities for all residents. As the fund grows, so does its capacity to make a lasting difference in the places people live, work, and gather.
