K-State Extension Cottonwood District

Specific Need

The Cottonwood Extension District is committed to improving the health and well-being of individuals and families in our communities. Through programs in nutrition, mental health, chronic disease prevention, financial wellness, and family resiliency, we address real challenges faced by residents across our district. However, many of these initiatives require additional resources to expand their reach and impact.

Support through Give Fest will allow us to:

  • Provide educational workshops on healthy eating, physical activity, and stress management.

  • Develop resources to support mental health awareness and resiliency.

  • Strengthen partnerships with schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to deliver health-focused programs where they are most needed.

  • Reduce barriers to participation by helping cover program materials, outreach, and accessibility needs.

By investing in our community health programs, donors are directly contributing to stronger, healthier families and more resilient communities in the Cottonwood District.

Mission

Our philosophy is to help people help themselves by taking university knowledge to where people live, work and play. We strive to be responsive to the needs of the people by focusing our resources on providing quality, research-based information, education and problem-solving programs.
