High Plains Mental Health Center Endowment

Specific Need

This year, the High Plains Mental Health Center Endowment is raising money to support the construction of a Crisis Intervention Center in Hays. Once open early next year, this facility will provide life-changing and life-saving care for adults in a mental health or substance use crisis. This facility will provide theraputic care in an environement designed to support and enhance both healing and safety. This facility will serve voluntary, involuntary and sobering admissions. The planned 22 bed facility will be a great resource for the region as individuals in this kind of crisis often end up in hosptial ERs or jail cells, neither or which are designed or staffed to handle mental health crisis patients. Together, we can provide hope and healing for our neighbors that need it the most.
